Midcoast Regional Airport at Wright Army Airfiled

MidCoast Regional Airport truly is Georgia’s Executive Choice.

The joint-use airport is the result of a partnership created by the city of Hinesville, Fort Stewart, Liberty County Board of Commissioners, and Liberty County Development Authority. The members of the civilian partnership funded the construction of the terminal facility and associated hangars.

The airport is strategically located just minutes from Georgia’s coast and offers an array of amenities. The state-of-the-art terminal facility contains a total of 13,825 SF, which includes both a civilian Fixed Based Operation (FBO) building and a military operations building (which is leased to the Army Corps of Engineers).

The FBO building includes a large, open lobby with glass walls along the ramp side of the facility. A conference/training room, offices, flight planning room, pilot lounge and snooze room, and other essentials such as WiFi are included on the civilian side of the terminal.

In addition to the terminal, the airport offers 12 T-hangars, five box hangars, and a 10,000 SF bulk hangar with a 30-foot door for lease. A significant number of the hangars are already leased, but there is still some available space.

At MidCoast, visitors are also able to purchase aviation gas and jet fuel, as well as take advantage of the crash carts and towering following capabilities provided by Fort Stewart.

MidCoast Regional Airport has access to 5,000 foot runways. There are plans to extend one of the runways to 6,500 feet in the near future.
